Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in Mission Uwharrie involves inherent risks associated with outdoor recreation, off-road vehicle travel, demonstrations, obstacle courses, camping, hiking, walking on uneven terrain, physical activities, weather conditions, wildlife, vehicle recovery operations, ride-alongs, vendor interactions, and other event-related activities. These risks may result in property damage, personal injury, serious injury, illness, permanent disability, or death.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.

Release of Liability

In consideration for being permitted to participate in Mission Uwharrie, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Mission Uwharrie, Trailhead Events, LLC, the host venue, property owners, Mission Uwharrie Cadre, volunteers, event staff, trail guides, instructors, contractors, sponsors, vendors, exhibitors, partner organizations, emergency response personnel, and all other individuals or organizations assisting with or participating in the planning, management, operation, or execution of Mission Uwharrie (collectively referred to as the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to my participation in the event, including claims resulting from ordinary negligence to the fullest extent permitted by North Carolina law.

Responsibility for My Actions

I accept full responsibility for my actions and decisions throughout the event. I agree to operate my vehicle safely, follow all applicable laws, obey posted rules, and comply with all instructions provided by Mission Uwharrie Cadre, volunteers, event officials, trail guides, safety personnel, and authorized staff.

I understand that unsafe behavior or failure to follow event rules may result in my immediate removal from the event without refund.

Vehicle Responsibility

If participating with a vehicle, I certify that:

• My vehicle is properly registered and insured.
• My vehicle is in safe operating condition.
• I am legally licensed to operate my vehicle.
• I am solely responsible for any damage to my vehicle, trailer, equipment, or personal property.

Mission Uwharrie assumes no responsibility for vehicle damage, mechanical failure, recovery costs, towing expenses, or personal property loss.

Third-Party Activities

I understand that certain demonstrations, ride-alongs, food vendors, exhibitors, sponsors, and activities are operated by independent organizations.

I voluntarily participate in these activities at my own risk and release the Released Parties from any liability arising from participation in these independently operated activities.

Medical Authorization

I understand that emergency medical services may not be immediately available.

Should emergency medical treatment become necessary, I authorize Mission Uwharrie personnel to seek emergency medical care on my behalf. I understand that I am solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

Photography & Media Release

I grant Mission Uwharrie permission to photograph, video record, or otherwise capture my likeness, voice, vehicle, and participation during the event.

I authorize Mission Uwharrie and its partners to use these images and recordings for promotional, educational, marketing, and social media purposes without compensation or additional permission.

Indemnification

I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from my actions, negligence, misconduct, or violation of event rules while participating in Mission Uwharrie.

Acknowledgment

By selecting "I Agree" during registration, I certify that:

• I have carefully read this Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement.
• I fully understand its contents.
• I understand that I am giving up certain legal rights by agreeing to these terms.
• I am voluntarily participating in Mission Uwharrie.
• I am at least 18 years of age or am the parent or legal guardian completing this registration on behalf of a minor participant.
